Spring 2010 Blackboard upgrade:

    Blackboard Release 9 will be available to faculty on May 31, 2010. Blackboard will be unavailable from May 24 through May 30, 2010. However, course sites for summer courses will be available during that week.

    Course sites for summer 2010 classes will remain on the present version of Blackboard until the end of summer sessions. After the upgrade, ALL course sites will be on Release 9.

    After May 31, faculty will have access to Bb Release 9, providing them the opportunity to use the summer months to become familiar with the new user interface and navigational structure and to develop or modify their course sites for fall 2010 classes.

    Students will have opportunities to log in over the summer and orient themselves to Release 9.

    Internet Explorer 8 and Blackboard
    If you have already installed IE8, please visit this site for information on how to set Compatibility View. This will help correct issues between IE8 and Blackboard.
    You can also refer to this page for a matrix of supported browsers.
    Alternatively, click here to download Firefox version 2 which is the latest version of Firefox supported by Blackboard 7.3.

    Password Expiration
    If you are experiencing problems logging into Blackboard, please remember that passwords expire every 90 days. Blackboard is currently not able to provide notice that passwords are about to expire. If your password does expire, you may reset it by clicking the "Forgot password?" link just below the password box on the Blackboard login page. If you need assistance with the password reset utility, please contact the BroncoWeb help desk at 426-2932. Their hours are 8-5 Monday-Friday.

    E-Learning at Boise State: An Online Orientation
    This site has been developed primarily to provide an orientation to e-learning for Boise State students enrolled in courses using Blackboard, whether in an online distance course or as an adjunct to face-to-face teaching. In addition, the site provides information for students considering enrolling in a Blackboard-enhanced course, as well as technical support for students currently enrolled in Blackboard-enhanced courses.
     
    An Introduction to E-Learning at Boise State
    This online course enables students to develop skills and knowledge necessary for success in Web-enhanced courses. You can take a non-credit, self-study version of the course or take a 1-credit, instructor-assisted version.
